The Jim Briscoe Memorial Match will be held at Warwick CC, Friday 3rd September. 11.00am Start.
Format will be similar to that of recent years and it is anticipated that the match will be mixed in with the 50th An. Celebrations with an evening celebration...........and of course, the now famous FLANNING CEREMONY will conclude the aftermatch Trophy handover.

The new season is now upon us and the preparations have been put into use. The Square looks so much better than last season which afterall, was it's first use after all the work it had done.The deviations have all been ironed out and the growth on it has been amazing so; given a nice dry summer ( some hope ) we might find the usual run feast upon it.
All the nets are up and running and the club is open so get those white out, dust them down ( or as was in Ant's case - Get the mice out of them ) and get loose.
Thanks to all the guys and gals who turned up this weekend to help get the ground ready for the new season next week. They were terrific, worked hard and we are grateful to them all for offering their time all in exchange for tea and bickies!!

REAL WAY DOWN
Thanks to those who supported Matt's fund raising event at the club on Friday. The band the Jay Kay Peys were excellent although my ear drums have only just recovered !! We made a total of £718 which was brilliant. Many thanks Tony

Next season and there is plenty in store.....Watch this space for events as we turn the winter corner and the nights once again begin to draw out.

Whether you have played years ago, playing at a club you are not particularly enjoying playing for, recently moved into the local area or simply wish to take up the game, Warwick Cricket Club has a place for you and your family. Just read the testimonials of some of the players who have graced Hampton Road over the years and see if you could add to the general mayhem in what is one of the best social sports clubs in the local area.
You will be welcomed so give it a try. Cricket is a fantastic game.

Many congratulations to Paul & Claire Finch on their deserved Award for the 'Unsung Heros' at the recent Warwick District Council award evening held at the Town Hall.
Over the many years I have known Paul & Claire, theirs has always been a selfless act in the name of our club. They have always been around to help in social events and just about anything relating to Warwick CC. It is engrained! Paul, himself, was the main scorer for both 1st & 2nd teams and a regular member of the 12 who make the team!!!Injury, as I remember it forced him to give up a promising career. There has never been a complaint, merely someone who loved his passion, his club and enjoyed the comradeship akin to all things Cricket. Claire, alike is no different; she has also been a rock in the mechanism of the workings of the club in so many ways and this award is not only overdue, but a wonderful recognition of how people who offer their services for free in the name of love and respect for their organistions, can be rewarded.
I know many of the long standing members of Warwick CC will raise a glass and say many thanks for all you have done.
For anyone who has the chance, the square is now looking in splendid shape for next season due to their continual efforts.
