The under 11s kicked off Warwicks 2010 youth campaign with a win over Snitterfield. Electing to field first, Warwick kept the run rate down with some disciplined bowling. Freddie top scored for Snitterfield with 12, but the star of the innings was Warwick captain Ben Rhodes who took a brilliant hat-trick all of which were bowled. Dhruv Dassur on debut and Callum Webb also took a wicket each as Snitterfield totalled 234.
In reply, Joe Hardwick & Luke Webb followed by Dhruv Dassur & Max Christie-Brown got the innings off to a solid start. A super partnership of 22 in 4 overs from Jake Neale and Callum Webb tied the scores with 4 overs remaining. Ben Rhodes and Tadhg Sheehan completed the innings by scoring 17 runs from the final 4 overs to see Warwick home on 251.
1st XI V Kenilworth
Warwick 1st XI started their Premiers Division season with a defeat at local rivals Kenilworth. Batting first Warwick got off to a terrible start losing both openers early. A stand of 47 between Steve Smith (29) and Captain Jamie Coleman (90no). Warwicks innings closed 182-7 with Peebles taking 3-53 and Lowe 2-39. James Wynn-Evans claimed 3-41 and was Warwicks only wicket taker as Edmonds (47) and Nason (69no) cruised to victory by 7 wickets and 8 overs to spare.
2nd XI V Southam
Warwick 2nd XI started their 2010 Warwickshire league season with a hard fought 8 run victory over Southam at Hampton Road on Saturday. Warwick were put into bat and started well with a 50 run opening partnership between Adrian Passey (27) and Simon Hathaway (41). The good work was continued when Rob Geraty (19) arrived at the crease to join Passey. Warwick then suffered a mid innings collapse that saw them stumble from 97 for 1 to 101 for 5 against some accurate bowling from Richard Heath (2-13) and Charlie Preston (2-36). Warwick were indebted to Jon Davis (17) and Simon Lloyd (20) who repaired the innings before Mark Ward (3-44) returned to dismiss them with the innings finishing on 171 All out in the 50 over. The Southam innings started well with a fine half century opening partnership between T.Wilkins (17) and T.Horley (52). The introduction of Saeed Ludin (3-30), and the reintroduction of Marc Passey (4-23) then turned the game in Warwicks favour with Southam sliding from 100 for 2 to 163 All Out with only H.Wilkins (27) offering any resistance.
3rd XI V Khalsa
Warwick 3rd XI slipped to a 34 run defeat at the hands of Khalsa on Saturday. Having won the toss Warwick asked Khalsa to bat. Khalsa started well with Aman (33), Tazik (32), and Harry (33) all scoring freely. The introduction of Ash Tomar swung the game in Warwicks favour with him running through the Khalsa batting line up to return fine figures of 7 for 26 from 15 overs and dismiss Khalsa for 154. Warwicks innings started well with Owen Griffiths (38) continuing his good early season form, but the Warwick batting order failed and slumped to 49 for 4 until Griffiths was joined by Steve Webb (17). The dismissal of Griffiths saw Warwicks chances of winning disappear with only Dan Grover (20) offering any serious resistance against the accurate bowling of Ash (3-39), Aman (2-17) and Tej (2-24).
4th XI V Wilnecote
Warwicks 4th XI gained a losing draw at Castle Farm on Saturday against Wilnecote. Warwick won the toss and inserted Winecote who totalled 197 for 4 with Shorthouse (38), Boyall (53 not out) and Parker (51 not out) being the main contributors. It could of been a different story but dropped catches cost Warwick dearly in field. Warwicks innings started slowly and continued in the same vain but good knocks from John Hough (36 not out), Dave Renton (21) and Fred Lewis (16 not out) saw the game saved and the innings finish on 115 for 4.
Sun 1st XI vs Berkswell
Warwick suffered a heavy defeat at home on Sunday at the hands of Berkswell. The visitors batted first and were 170ao thanks to Parker (39) and Wes (44). Said Ludin was the main wicket taker claiming 3-21. In response Warwick were dismissed for just 106. Jakir Hussain top scored with 34 as Milnes (4wkts) and Ostler and Mitchell (3wkts apiece) ran through the side.
Warwicks Midweek Development XI started the season with a nail-biting victory over TNC on their debut in division three. Batting first Ollie Moore (33) and Tom Weston (23) provided a great foundation after the early loss of the 1st wicket. On a sticky wicket they batted sensibly and upped the tempo toward the end of the 15 (8 ball) over innings. After the pair departed wickets fell regularly as Warwick attempted to hit out. The innings finished with Warwick setting a target of 95 form 15 overs with the loss of 6 wickets.
TNC looked in control cruising to 66 for 1 at the nine over mark. Hield (39) retired at this point with 6 overs to go. In rapidly darkening conditions Warwick fought back Ismail Khan, Tom Austen and Jorje Singh taking 2 wickets each. TNC were all out in the final over with 5 balls to spare for 92 an agonising 3 runs short of the Warwick total.
Warwick slipped to a disappointing defeat to a strong Kineton side last night. Batting first, Warwick found runs hard to come by against a varied Kineton attack. Callum Webb batted positively to top score with 7 out of a total of 233 (33 runs scored). Tadhg Sheehan hit the shot of the innings with a fine pull shot for 4.
Kineton also found the going tough at first as Luke Webb bowled an excellent spell costing only 3 runs. Soon however, the runs began to flow (as did the rain!) and Kineton raced to 300 without losing a wicket although there were one or two chances which were not taken.
Kineton showed that they have lots of experience and strength in depth. Despite the result, this wasnt a bad performance and the boys put in a good effort, especially in the field in bitterly cold and wet conditions.
All Warwicks Saturday fixtures were lost to the rain.
On Sunday Warwick 1st XI revenged last weeks defeat by beating Berkswell in the return by 20runs. Batting first Warwick posted 168-5 thanks to 105no from captain Ade Passey whose second fifty came up in just 9 overs. The Berkswell reply faltered on 148 (Ahmed 45). The wickets were shared around Andy Lippett took 3, and 2 each for Jorjeet Singh, Marc Passey and Adam Edwards.
Warwick 2nd XI lost a close game against their Berkswell 2nd XI counterparts. Batting first Warwick scored steadily throughout their innings. Dave Matthews 22 shared a 50 run partnership with Steve Dellow 48. Once separated Dan Robbins 30 joined Dellow for a 63 run Partnership. Hard hitting from Gary Hammersley 24no took Warwick to a competitive 161-7 from their 40overs. Beaumont 3-28 was the pick of the bowlers.
Berkswell lost Hargereaves early but a substantial partnership between Wreford 36 and Beaumont 62no set up the visitors for the win with 5 wickets and just 2 overs to spare.
Warwick 1st XI lost by 8 wickets against Atherstone on Saturday.
Warwick 2nd XI enjoyed a victory in a close fought match at Hampton Road against their Atherstone counterparts. The visitors batted first and there were steady contributions throughout the scorecard but only Grayson pushed on scoring 48 out of the total 179-6. The main wicket taker Jorjeet Singh claiming 3 wickets whilst Marc Passey claimed 2 and there was a wicket a piece for Adam Edwards and Said Luddin.
Warwicks reply was well paced early on through run machine Ade Passey top scoring with 48 and Matt Hodgkin weighing in with 27. Regular wicket taking though slowed the pace and with 8 overs left were still 60 runs short. Enter Jorjeet Singh (31no) who hammered balls to all corners ably supported by Dave Matthews (21) as Warwick ran out winners with 3 balls and 3 wickets in hand.
Warwick 3rd XI were involved in a nail biting match against Olton and West Warwicks 3rd XI. Warwick were asked to bat and set a useful looking 258-9 from their 50overs. Jack Oliver top scored with 58, Andy Jackson hit his maiden half century with 55 in 12overs and Owen Griffiths 43. For the hosts Stratford took 3 wickets.
Olton paced their innings well, after 25overs it was all square 102-1 aside. Undisciplined bowling aloud Olton to get in front as Pullin 58, Mohammed 33 and Stratford 26 capitalised. Dave Griffith and Tom Austin put the brakes on a little but with just 2 overs remaining 7 runs were needed for victory and 2 wickets remained. Just 3 runs and 1 wicket were lost meaning Olton finished on 255-9 4 runs short of victory. Warwick claimed a winning draw.
Warwick 4th XI suffered a 7wicket defeat to Olton and West Warwicks 4th XI. Batting first Warwick could only must 77 thanks largely to Andy Lippett contributing 21. Olton passed the target in the 19th over. Vann scored 25 whilst Pete Hardwick claimed 3 victims.
On Sunday Warwick 1st XI hosted Fillongley. The visitors batted first and posted 185-6 from their 40 overs; Blackmore 40, Sayed 40 and Taylor 36no. Warwick got off to a good start with a century opening partnership from the father and son combo of Ade (53) and Marc Passey (50). Warwick required 76 from the last 10 overs but dispite the efforts of Jakir Hussain 17 and Tom Weston 15no the innings closed on 170-6, 16 runs short of victory.
The under 11s pulled off a dramatic 1 run victory away at Kenilworth Wardens on Monday night.
Fielding first, Warwicks opening bowlers Luke Webb, who struck in the first over, and Max Christie Brown bowled tidy spells. Spin Twins Joe Hardwick and Dhruv Dassur kept the pressure on, as did medium pacer Callum Webb. Tadhg Sheehan bowled well and picked up a wicket. Skipper Ben Rhodes again bowled excellently, with good pace and was unlucky not to pick up a wicket himself. A much improved fielding display was capped with 3 runs-outs thanks to Luke Webb, Dhruv Dassur & Joe Hardwick. Wardens totalled 273.
Warwick took confidence from their good work in the field and opening pair Max Christie Brown (7) & Dhruv Dassur set the tone with a solid partnership of 15 without losing a wicket. At the half way point, Warwick were behind the run-rate on 218, but third pair Ben Rhodes (10) and Tadhg Sheehan (13) added a classy 24 with some superb shots. Final pair Callum Webb (13) and Jake Neale (6) came to the wicket needing 30 from 4 overs. A combination of creative shot making, super running and a bit of luck took them to the verge of victory with just 1 needed from the last ball. In-form Callum Webb worked the ball into the leg side and both batsmen scurried through to complete a superb win.
Warwick 1st XI chalked up their first win of the season when they beat Solihull Bloosmfield by 6wickets. Solihull won the toss and decided to bat in the blazing sunshine at Hampton Road. Paul Rowe claimed the opening two wickets early in the innings and Warwick continued to take wickets regularly throughout the innings, as James Dex (4 wickets) and James Wynn-Evans (3wickets) pegged Solihull back to 112-9. The final pair of Khan 32no and Satterthwaste22no defied the Warwick bowlers pushing the score to 170-9 after 50 overs.
Warwick lost 2 wickets early but a stand of 69 between Tim Briscoe 22 and Jamie Coleman took the score to 97-2. James Dex 31no joined Jamie Coleman 66no and the pair batted through with an unbeaten stand of 70, as Warwick ran out winners with 15 overs and 6 wickets to spare.
Warwick 2nd XI moved to the top of Premier division 2nd XI table on Saturday following a 5 wicket victory over Sheldon Marlborough. The hosts Sheldon batted first and found life difficult against the accurate Warwick attack but a fast dry out field allowed the innings to reach 209ao. An 80 run stand between Adrian Maguire 55no and Barrett 47 and 2 wickets apiece for Warwicks Edwards, Champ and Ludin were the highlights.
Warwicks run chase was timed to perfection passing the Sheldon score in the final over. Rob Geraghty27 and Matt Hodgkin 44 shared 44 for the third wicket before Hodgkin and Davis put on 54 for the 4th wicket. A superb unbroken stand of 82 between Davis 55no and Adam Lambert 36no saw the visitors home and to the top of the table.
Poor player numbers saw 9man Warwick 3rd XI suffer a 4 wicket defeat at the hands of Nuneaton 3rd XI. Warwick batted first and scored 247-7 from their 50overs thanks to Dan Robbins 103no, Owen Griffiths 30 and Fred Lewis 29. Wellman took 3wickets and Bonnar 2wickets.
Warwick were always in the game but a 120 run partnership between Gabriel 76 and Knight 31 gave the upper hand to Nuneaton. Grantham 28 and Plowman 19 continued to hit the boundaries as Nuneaton passed Warwicks total with 4wickets and 10 balls to spare.
Warwick 4th XI were also down on numbers as their 9man team was bowled out by Thimblemill for 62. Pete Hardwick top scored with 23 and Ditta claimed 4 wickets. Thimblemill took just 11 overs to pass the total but lost 4 wickets in the process. Sultoni finished 34no, Graham Griffiths took 2 wickets and their was a wicket apiece for Ismail Khan and Pete Hardwick.
Warwick 1st XI kept the winning streak going on Sunday and moved to second in the Arden Sunday league table with a victory by 6wickets at Alvechurch. The hosts batted first and hit 221 thanks to Captain Spavin impressive 129no and Spink 37. Adam Edwards, Andy Lippett and Tom Austin claimed a wicket a piece.
Simon Hathaway got Warwick off to a flyer hitting 29 in 6overs. Steve Dyer weighed in with 30 but another 100 stand between Ade 61 and Marc Passey 59 brought Warwick to the brink of victory on 192-4 from 36 overs. Owen Griffiths 14no and Craig Downing 14no brought Warwick home with 5 balls to spare.
Warwick 2nd XI were suffered a 9 wicket defeat to Fillongley on Sunday. Warwick amassed 165-6 from their 40 overs thanks to 56 from Dave Matthews and Dan Robbins 34. Fillongley lost their only wicket early before Dave Howells 51no and Taylor 82no won the game for the visitors.
Warwick 1st XI continued their good form beating Moseley Ashfield by 9 wickets on Saturday. Moseley batted first and put on 236-8 from their 50overs. Azam 59, Chisham 49, Carey 34 were the major contributors as Paul Rowe with 4 wickets, Paul Jackson 2 wickets and James Wynn-Evans 2 wickets went through the side.
Tim Brisoce 86no and Steve Dyer were imperious opening the batting for Warwick. The pair shared 209 for the first wicket before Dyer perished in the 42nd over, but by then hed hit 104, his first century for Warwick. Warwick passed the total in the 45th over to claim their 20point win.
Warwick 2nd XI suffered their 1st league defeat of the season at the hands of Moseley Ashfield on Saturday. Moseley batted first and were indebted to Sheehan for his 125 out of their 213 total. Da Silva with 23 made the other contribution as Gary Hammersley and Dave Griffith took 4 wickets a piece.
Ade (21) and Marc Passey (42) shared 64 for the first wicket and Rob Geraghty (36) continued the good work and took the score to 117-3 in 23 overs. Wickets fell steadily from then on in and the last wicket fell on 189 with just 8 balls left. Hosein claimed 4wickets.
Warwick 3rd XI suffered a 4 wicket defeat against table topping Wythall on Saturday. Warwick batted first and lost wickets quickly tumbling to 63-8 with only Steve Webb (18) showing some defiance. The 9th wicket pair of Tom Hitchenor (13) and Jorjeet Singh (35no) added 45 but the innings closed on 117 in the 30th over. Turner claimed 5 victims Heath 3.
Wythall were looking comfortable at 40-1 before losing 4 wickets for 10runs under the accurate bowling of Ash Tomar (3wkts) and Jorjeet Singh 1wkt. Sam Wyles 27no and Turner 24no saw Wythall past Warwicks total with an unbroken 45 run partnership with 4 wickets in hand.
Warwick 4s also suffered a defeat against their Wythall counterparts. Wythall scored 200-6 from their 50 overs; Wilson 66no, Morgan 21, King 20. Fred Lewis lead the bowling attack with 3 wickets, Pete Hardwick claimed 2. Warwick were skittled for 73 as Cart claimed 5-18. Tony Sarson top scored with 33.
On Sunday Warwick 1st XI played host to Sheldon Marlborough. The visitors batted first and despite a slow start managed to score 171 from their 40 overs thanks to 85 from Mohammed. Rain in the interval meant that Warwicks innings was reduced to 32overs with the same score needed for victory. Jamie Coleman 98 went about it from the off as he and Ade Passey 24 shared 146 for the 2nd wicket. Dan Robbins 8no and Marc Passey 13no completed the task in the 30th over to claim a good victory.
Warwick 1st XI drew their match with Fillongley on Saturday. Fillongley batting first posted 235-8 from their 50overs. A number of the batsmen made starts but only Hammond went on to pass 50 hitting 65. Paul Jackson and James Wynn-Evans showed their experience and control with the ball by claiming 3wickets each.
Warwicks innings started slowly and despite 50run partnerships between Dyer (19) and Smith(32), and Dabin (38) and Wynn-Evans (15) there were no major individual contributions. Warwick settled for the losing draw closing the innings 146-9. Fillongleys Gardener and Slade both claimed 3wickets.
Hampton Road saw a Premier 2nd XI top-of-the-table clash as leaders Four Oaks Saints visited 2nd placed Warwick. The visitors batted first and were undone by the pace and bounce of Lee Skrypchuk as he claimed 5 scalps. There were 3 also for spin-king Dave Griffith as Warwick held every chance that came their way to dismiss Four Oaks for 182.
Matt Puffett made short thrift of the response as he dominated the bowling with his hard hitting style. Puffett and opening partner Matt Hodgkin (60) shared 130 for the first wicket. Puffett continued to see the Warwick home finishing 105no as Warwick reclaimed top spot.
Warwick 3rd XI hosted Bablake 3rd XI at Castle Farm. Warwick fielding just 10 men went down to 9 after injury to debutant Bill Evans meant he couldnt continue. This was the impetus that Bablake needed to score quick runs as Sam Ballinger 72 and Richard Bennett 136no shared 187 for the third wicket. Tom Austin claimed all 4 wickets as Bablake eventually relented their onslaught declaring on 290-4 after 41 overs.
The Warwick batsmen fought valiantly to stave off defeat starting effectively 2 wickets down. Steve Webb 34 and Mark Vipond 57 top scored but Warwick eventually ran out of batsmen in the 56th of 59overs with the score on 200.
Warwick 4th XI fielding only 9 players scored a creditable draw against their Bablake 4th XI counterparts. Bablake set a chalked up 223-4 from their 50 overs thanks to Fish 98 and Giles 49. There were 2 wickets each for Rajan Bhatti and Pete Hardwick.
Tony Sarson (20) continued his good form with the bat as he and John Hough (40no) frustrated the Bablake bowlers, their 73 run partnership teamed with Pete Hardwicks 23no ensured Warwick batted out their innings to finish 138-3.

The under 11s returned to league action on Monday evening at Leamington. Skipper Ben Rhodes won the toss and decided to bat first. Opener Max Christie-Brown showed great determination to make a solid 7 against Leamingtons opening pace attack. Thomas Wyatt and Tadhg Sheehan upped the tempo with some nice shots but 5 wickets were lost (costing 5 runs apiece) so Warwick were never able to put the fielding side under any great pressure. Ben Rhodes added 7no and Callum Webb 10no, to leave Warwick on 241.
With a small total to defend, Warwick needed an early wicket which was provided by Dhruv Dhassur assisted by a super catch by Thomas Wyatt. Warwick were made to work hard by the Leamington batsmen but supported the bowlers well with some super ground fielding. Tom Wyatts excellent throw enabled Tadhg Sheehan to run out former Warwick player Charlie Bewick. The bowlers however conceded too many extras which enabled Leamington to cruise past Warwicks score taking few risks.
Warwick battled hard to the end. Tom Wyatt and Tadhg Sheehan bowling particularly well without reward. With the game already won, Leamingtons Warwickshire star Matthew Davison had licence to cut loose and smashed 40 from 20 balls to lift his side to 335.
A disappointing performance saw the under 11s lose heavily to Kenilworth on Monday. Thomas Wyatt bowled superbly for Warwick and was well supported by Luke Webb, Callum Webb & Ben Rhodes. Kenilworths batsmen however, took few chances and were gifted 44 runs in extras giving them a competitive total of 270.
Despite a below par bowling performance, 270 should have been within reach for Warwicks batsmen who have been improving with every game this season. Kenilworth bowled reasonably well but Warwicks batsmen also had a bad day at the office and wickets tumbled all the way through the innings with only skipper Ben Rhodes remaining not out.
Sat 1st XI
Warwick suffered a 4 wicket defeat at table topping Highway on Saturday. Batting first on a good pitch Warwick amassed 237-9 from their 50 overs. Tim Briscoe (26) and Steve Dyer (61) gave Warwick a good start and then Dyer added 78 for the second wicket with Steve Smith (65). James Wynn-Evans (20) & Jamie Coleman (26) helped boost the total but the innings fell away as Jamie Marsh claimed 6-60 & Steve Vaughan 2-62.
Highway lost 3 early wickets in reply but Lee Bennett (64) & the eccentric Asim Sohail added 108 for the 4th wicket to put Highway in control. Sohail was eventually dismissed for 88 and although Warwick applied some pressure late in the innings Highway reached their target with 4 balls remaining. The wicket-takers for Warwick were James Wynn-Evans 2-39, Paul Rowe 2-68 & Paul Jackson 2-57.
Sat 2nd XI
In the reverse fixture Warwick claimed maximum points with an unlikely victory over Highway at Warwick. The home side elected to bat first and Matt Puffett (73) & Ade Passey (60) shared 139 for the first wicket. Once the pair were dismissed Dan Robbins (45) continued the good work as Warwick closed on 223-7. Liam Hastings claimed 3 wickets and Adam Walsh 2.
Highway made a fine start in reply as Tapp (76) and Chamberlain (21) added 88 for the first wicket and they looked to be cruising to victory at 145-2 when Matt Hodgkin (3-34) & Ade Passey (2-9) were brought into the attack. Highway lost 8 wickets for just 45 runs as Warwick claimed a 27 run victory. Said Ludin (2-43) & Adam Edwards (3-45) were the other Warwick wicket-takers.
3rd XI
Warwick 3rds were well beaten by Standard 3rd XI. Standard batted first and struck 219 all out thanks to Keenan (57), Bird (35) & McCurry (34). Tom Austin and Richard Cure took 2 wickets a piece for Warwick.
In reply Warwick were all out for just 89, with only Owen Griffiths, Dan Marcus & Mark Vipond reached double figures. Steve Hinds did the damage for Standard with 4-41.
4th XI
A fine innings of 72 from the evergreen Jack Oliver helped Warwick 4ths claim a 24 run victory over Standard 4ths. Warwick made 182-8 as the even more evergreen Fred Lewis (23), Martin Dean (22) & Pete Hardwick (16) offered good support to Oliver. Stickley & Hinds shared 7 wickets for Standard.
Pete Hardwick (4-20) and Joseph Poole (3-65) then reduced Standard to 105-8 and despite the best efforts of Sheikh and Stickley the visitors were dismissed for 158. Fred Lewis and Tony Sarson were the other Warwick wicket-takers.
Sat 1st XI
A poor batting display sentenced Warwick to a 46 run defeat at home to Kings Heath. Batting first Kings Heath were reduced to 42-4 as Paul Rowe and Paul Jackson each claimed 2 early wickets. Some dogged batting from the visitors helped them reach 137 as they were all out in the 48th over. The wickets were shared amongst James Wynn-Evans 2-27, Lee Skrypchuk 2-12, Paul Rowe 3-57 & Paul Jackson 2-30.
Warwicks reply started well as they reached 40-0 from 8 overs but the introduction of Lloyd and Davies led to a spectacular collapse. The home side struggled to contend with the accuracy of the spinners as they lost 10 wickets for just 50 runs. Lloyd claimed 6-27 and Davies 4-20.
Sat 2nd XI
Warwick 2nds maintained their title challenge with a 4 run victory over Bedworth. Batting first Warwick scored a below par163 all out with Jon Davis top-scoring with 27.
In reply Bedworth looked to be romping to victory but a flurry of late wickets from Dave Griffith and Matt Hodgkin brought Warwick back into contention. Bedworth were eventually dismissed for 159 with Dave Griffith the pick of the Warwick attack with 4 wickets
Sat 3rd XI
Warwick 3rds managed to salvage a draw in a one-sided contest against Peugeot. Batting first Peugeot amassed 316-2 thanks to Oneil 108* and Allen 101 before declaring with 5 overs of the innings remaining. Steve Webb was the only Warwick wicket-taker
In reply Warwick struggled to 60-4 but an excellent rear-guard action from Adam Lambert, Jorg Singh & Toby Kidd guided Warwick to 172-5, the latter two batting for over 20 overs.
Sat 4th XI
Warwick 4ths also claimed a draw despite struggling to match the batting prowess of Peugeot 2nds. Peugeot batted first and reached an impressive 303-7.
Warwick were never likely to match Peugeots total but Tony Sarson struck an impressive half century as Warwick closed on 188-6
Sat 1st XI
Warwick 1st XI were beaten by 7 wickets at promotion chasing Handsworth on Saturday. Warwick lost the toss and were invited to bat in bowler friendly conditions losing 3 early wickets. Steve Smith batted beautifully to top score with 77 and he received support from Paul Rowe 17, and Rob Geraghty, Jorg Singh and Craig Downing who all scored 14 as Warwick posted 163. Ramsay & Kelly both took 4 wickets for the home team.
Handsworth got off to the best possible start in reply as Dawkins 49 & Hussain 61 shared 64 for the 1st wicket. Once the pair were dismissed Smith struck 40* to see Handsworth home for the loss of just 3 wickets in 44 overs. James Wynn-Evans & Paul Jackson were the Warwick wicket-takers.
Sat 2nd XI
Warwick 2nds fell to a disappointing 20 run defeat to Old Edwardians. Batting first Old Edwardians were all out for just 118 with Thornton top scoring with 40. Dave Griffith was the pick of the bowljng with 4-23, while Ade Passy took 2 wickets and James Dex &Gary Hammersley took 1.
Although only chasing a low total Warwick were always struggling losing wickets regularly. Ade Passey 18, Andy Siddle 16 & Daniel Grover 25 made useful contributions but it was not enough as the home side were all out for just 98. Khan took 5-35 for Old Edwardians.
Sat 3rd XI
Warwick 3rds were well beaten by Olton & West Warwicks. Olton batted first and amassed 226-7 thanks to half centuries from Joiner & Danter. Tom Austin 4-59 & Jamie Harding 3-54 shared the wickets for Warwick.
In reply Warwick were all out for 123 in 37 overs. Fred Lewis 26* and Martin Dean 20 provided the highlights for the Warwick innings. Miller & Shabhir took 3 wickets each for Olton.
Sat 4th XI
Warwick 4ths completed a disappointing day for the club as they were well beaten in the reverse fixture. Olton posted 255-8 with all of the batsmen making starts but only Suthons reaching 50. Rajan Singh & Ismail Khan were the most effective Warwick bowlers with 3 a piece.
Warwicks batting was unable to cope with the accuracy of Olton as they were all out for just 58. Gavin took 4 wickets and Suthons 3.
Sun 1st XI
Walsall YMF beat Warwick 1sts by 5 wickets in the Arden league on Sunday. Warwick made 168-6 thanks to an unbeaten 62 from John Wiggly, Ade Passey 24 & Tom Wilkins 19.
Despite dismissing both openers cheaply a half century from Mohammed guided Walsall to victory in the 36th over. Andy Lippett claimed 2 wickets while Michael Duckworth, Jakir Hussain & Wiggly each took 1 wicket.
Sun 2nd XI
Warwick 2nds were soundly beaten by Knowle Village to complete a poor weekend for Warwick. Warwick were all out for just 46 with no one reaching double figures as Trapp claimed an impressive 6-17.

Sat 1st XI
Warwick 1sts could only manage a losing draw to Atherstone at Hampton Road on Saturday. Batting first Atherstone made their customary fast start thanks to the dangerous Pickering 46, but once he was dismissed the run rate dropped. Hall 35 & Cowdrey 33 helped the visitors reach 217-9. Paul Rowe was the pick of the bowlers with 3-30 while Paul Jackson took 3-60 and James Wynn-Evans & Jorg Singh picked up 1 wicket each.
Warwicks innings started well as Tim Briscoe 21 & Steve Dyer 23 shared 44 in 12 overs for the first wicket. Warwick then struggled to 92-6 as Healey claimed 4-41 & Smart 2-28 and the visitors pushed for victory but a rear-guard action from Paul Rowe, Rob Geraghty & James Wynn-Evans helped Warwick close on 134-8.
Sat 2nd XI
Warwick 2nd XI also secured a draw at Atherstone. The home team batted first scoring 232-8 from 50 overs thanks to a 150 run partnership between Alcock 70 & Rabone 81. Dave Griffith was brought into the attack and he made in-roads into the Atherstone line up as he continued his good run of form with 5-47 but the Atherstone lower order added some useful runs in the closing overs.
Warwick also made a good start to their innings thanks to a 132 run partnership between skipper Ade Passey 51 & Matt Hodgkin 67. Jon Davis struck a bright 21 but in the end Warwick had to settle for a draw as the innings closed on 191-5. Swarovski claimed 3-48 for Atherstone.
Sat 3rd XI
The 3rd XI suffered an 80 run defeat at Nuneaton. The home team were dismissed for 160 as Tom Austin claimed an impressive 5-42, Ash Tomar 3-45 & Tom Hitchenor 2-47. Goodman 38, Greenwood 31 & Dhoni 30* were the successful batsmen for Nuneaton.
In reply Warwick were reduced to 34-6 as Osbourne & Goodman took 3 wickets each. Martin Dean then struck a defiant 34 but Warwick were bowled out for just 80 in the 23rd over.
Sat 4th XI
Warwick 4ths claimed a welcome 5 wicket victory over Thimblemill. Thimblemill were dismissed for 64 with Khan top scoring with 19. Fred Lewis 3-21, Poole 2-24 & Khan 3-19 were the successful bowlers.
Warwick lost 5 wickets in reply but useful contributions from Kidd 18, Banks 13, Renton 13 & Sarson 12 saw Warwick to their target in 20 overs.
Sun 1st XI
On Sunday Warwick 1sts picked up an easy win at Four Oaks Saints. Jamie Coleman struck 46, Jorg Singh fired a rapid 74 and Ollie Gray 30 as Warwick reached 213 all out. McGarvey picked up 3 wickets for the home team.
Four Oaks lost wickets at regular intervals in reply despite 33 from opener Minhas and they were bowled out for 139 in 32 overs. Said Luddin took 3-34, Andrew Jackson 2-27 & Jakir Hussain 2-26.
Sun 2nd XI
In the reverse fixture Four Oaks Saints gained revenge for their 1st XIs defeat with a comprehensive victory. Batting first Aggarwal struck 135* as Four Oaks posted a massive 301-3. Andy Lippett & James Matthews took 1 wicket each for Warwick.
In reply Tyronne Leon-Fernandez struck 22 but Warwick were dismissed for just 52 as Cyriac claimed 6-8.
